Dr. Lang\u2019s research has been instrumental in advancing the physiological understanding and adoption of dwarfing precocious rootstocks and protective covering systems for sweet cherries, and advancing innovations in labor-efficient tree training and orchard systems suitable for mechanization and robotic technologies.\u00a0<\/p><p>He has published more than 200 research and industry articles and 7 books, and is the recipient of numerous awards for Distinguished Research and Extension (IFTA 2001; Italian Academy of Agriculture 2019; ASHS 2017, 2019; APS 2020).
