A dynamic workshop on the topic of industrial peach is being organized by the magazine FROUTONEA as part of the FRESKON exhibition, which will take place in Thessaloniki on April 25 at 10:30 a.m.
The aim of the event is to present and analyze the current situation both in the processing sector and in the production sector, while also exploring the actions that could further strengthen the production base of industrial peaches. Strengthening production is a key prerequisite for Greek canned peaches to maintain their leading position in international markets.
Representatives from both the processing industry and the producers will participate in the discussion. Representing the processing sector will be Mr. Apostolou, while representing the producers will be Mr. Nestoropoulos, President of Neos Apollon, a cooperative whose members produce significant quantities of industrial peaches.
All Issues on the Table
For many years, during every cultivation season, the absorption of industrial peaches and especially producer prices have been a point of strong friction between the processing industry and producers. This situation makes it difficult to develop a stable framework of cooperation and to reach common ground that would ensure the sustainability and future prospects of both sides.
The workshop organized by FROUTONEA aims to bring all these concerns to the forefront and to serve as an open platform for dialogue within the sector.
The discussion will be moderated by FROUTONEA publisher Takis Orfanos and editor Fotis Karampetsos, while the audience will also have the opportunity to participate with comments and questions.
The organizers invite all stakeholders in the industrial peach sector to attend and to register their participation in advance.
